In digital pranayama we use our fingers (digits) to regulate the flow of air through the nostrils. The purpose, as in all pranayama, is to skillfully direct life force to realize beautiful states of consciousness. In this class we build step by step through:
• Calm breathing without using the fingers
• Finger placement technique
• Skillful use of the fingers to balance breath through both nostrils (Nadi Sodana 1a)
• Alternate nostril breathing (Nadi Sodana 1b)
The class is intended for students who have significant pranayama experience, but offers way points where students of any level may stay and enjoy a wonderful practice.
